Jacky Antoine, Doctor of educational science, pivotal friends and advisor for the begining of Lycée Aline Mayrisch
“We can’t discuss the educational project of Lycée Aline Mayrisch without mentioning Jacky Antoine. I had the chance to meet him professionally in 1998 and since then a scholarly fraternity united us; our ideas about the ideal school matched, and our memories of the first two years of collaboration at Lycée Aline Mayrisch would immerse us in exciting and endless discussions. A pivotal friend from the very beginning, Jacky accompanied us for two years during which he was instrumental in the implementation of the Educational Concept. His professional and human qualities, his humour, his receptiveness and openness, fostered the debate of ideas and above all the emergence of a consensus about the educational priorities and specific program that are fundamental to the school. Although he is no longer with us, he will always be part of the ‘crazy ones… that constitute the pillars of this building’; his ‘FAR‘ ideas on debate, the piloting of ideas and the first footprints he left to keep constantly guiding us… and it is precisely in consideration of these footprints and this experience that it is important to us, and to the memory of the school, to pay tribute to the architect of our first hours.”
